During the months of April and May 2020, seven teachers from around the ESD 113 region completed the third part of the Climate Science Series for Grades 3-5. This was planned to be an in-person session but was quickly turned into a Canvas course due to Covid-19. The course gave participants an overview of native ways of knowing local to the South Puget Sound, working with diverse student populations including language learners and special education students, and formative assessment in science. The course concluded with the participants writing 5E climate science lessons for use during distance learning or for the next school year.
