This fall 24 teachers from the ESD 113 region met to learn more about climate science for K-3 learners. The series included three 2-hour sessions. Topics included climate science connections for young learners, how to get students outside during distance learning, and teaching with science and engineering practices in mind. Participants were introduced to several resources including PEI’s storylines, Learning in Places’ Storyline Framework for Teachers and Project Learning Tree’s Nature Activities for Families. The series will have two more sessions and asynchronous work concluding in winter 2021.
