The Chehalis Basin Education Consortium, a watershed education program at Capital Region ESD 113 joined forces with two other local watershed programs for the annual event Student GREEN Congress from March 11th through March 17th. Student GREEN Congress is an environmental education event that has been engaging local students since 1992.
This year, the event reached 732 local students in grades 3-8th and they participated in water quality discussions, online story maps, hands-on workshops on local environmental topics and a keynote activity led by local salmon non-profit “Long Live the Kings”. Overall, it was a super fun and educational time with so many enthusiastic local students.
