Taking the Classroom Outdoors

What was tried in the classroom?

We have tried just going outside in general. We’ve taken our creative writing outside on clipboards. We’ve gone around the campus and picked up trash and had conversations about the impact that we have on our environments and community. I am planning units for my classroom next year which will incorporate physically being outdoor with the concepts we’re studying within the classroom. Very inspired, the teacher was marvelous and encouraging. This course should be mandatory.
