What was tried in the classroom?

fall leaves

I took kids outside this week to gather leaves. We looked at the trees, noticed the different shapes of leaves. Then we did pencil sketches (older kids) and leaf rubbing (younger students) to focus on the veins and patterns of the leaves.

How’d it go?

Students loved collecting leaves and discussing. They enjoyed drawing. The students wanted to take their leaves home.
