North Central ESD implements Climate Science and NGSS Professional Learning to area educators by leveraging collaboration opportunities among NCESD staff, community-based organizations, and other regional ESDs. October 10th teachers learned about the pika unit which focuses on the carbon cycle and the impact of climate change on the pika. Over 300 10th grade students will experience this unit this year.
STEM Summit Teacher Training
In August we teamed up with the NCESD to bring our Kids in the Forest teacher training to their STEM Summit. We offered a half day in classroom lesson followed by a half day field trip to locations we host field days for students.
