Description
Do you have a school garden that you are interested in using with students, but aren’t sure how to get started? Are you looking for ways to build a connection with nature for your students through outdoor learning experiences? Do you want to connect and collaborate with other educators to foster outdoor learning for all students?
Authentic Engagement in Outdoor Learning, the first offering in the Taking Learning Outside series, will help you cultivate confidence managing students in an outdoor setting and create engaging learning experiences. This full-day, in-person workshop will explore cross-curricular connections to create student experiences that integrate local ecology, geography, and culture, fostering a deep connection between students and their surroundings. Registration is FREE and sub reimbursement is provided. This workshop is part of a year-long series called Taking Learning Outside.
